Established in 2024, Lexense ITS is a research spinoff company from the University of Texas system. It aims to promote and facilitate Infrastructure LiDAR for traffic signal systems. The founding team is one of the earliest explorers of investigating novel behavioral data collection and new performance measures at signalized intersections with LiDAR. The first deployment was in 2019. Since then,  its solutions have been deployed at intersections in multiple states. After years of improvement, the developed software's maturity is concluded, reaching the commercial grade. The Lexense team will help agencies deploy LiDAR solutions at various scales, from pilot projects to turn-key projects.
